Enveloped, safe, nourished, sustained
A grounding meditation - Held in the womb of God
Sitting comfortably but also attentively with your feet connected with the floor.
Take some deep wide breaths, letting the belly loosen and expand with every inhale and then exhaling fully.
Repeat a few more deep breaths keeping your belly loose.
As you breathe let the shoulders drop and your weight sink into the chair.
Experience yourself supported and held.
Now let your awareness travel down from your head all the way to your feet.
Be aware of your feet on the ground, connecting to what is firm and solid.
Gently push your left foot into the floor and release.
Gently push your right foot into the floor and release.
If your attention travels upwards bring it back down to you feet.
It may help to place a hand on you belly or your heart to help you stay connected to your body and heart.
With your attention remaining downwards away from your head simply spend some moments being in your body.
Now I invite you to imagine yourself held within the womb of God whatever that means for you.
What do you notice externally and internally as you are held within this place?

Do you sense you are being made ready for a new birth?
Do you sense you are in the hidden, protected place, being nourished as you are restored and healed?
Spend a few moments being present to being held here receiving what you need from God.
When you feel ready, gently return to this space.

May you know yourself held and loved within the safety of God’s womb.
