A Dartmoor Winter Retreat

Take a deeper breath at the start of the year

This weekend, women only gathering is a wonderful opportunity to take a deeper breath at the start of a new year. Take time to look back over the year that was and to notice invitations that are present for growth in the year to come.

Through silence, solitude, guided meditations, lectio-divina, contemplative practice and sharing circles we will journey together to make rich discoveries about God and ourselves. We will notice places that need Divine Love’s goodness to restore, renew and rejuvenate. There will be opportunity for your current life story to be deeply heard and responded to with love and kindness and for you to listen with love and kindness to the stories of others.

This retreat is offering you the space to connect more deeply with God, yourself and others. We will enter the flow of Divine love as a co-creating community and also have plenty of time for personal refection.

Delicious meals, never-ending hot drinks and copious amounts of cake will be yours to enjoy.

Nicky will be your host and facilitator, the lovely Alice will take care of food and the kitchen as well as offer her presence in our times together.

Friday 19th – Sunday 21st January 2024

Bernard’s Acre is a special place steeped in christian history nestled in the heart of the beauty of Dartmoor. It is a “thin place” where connection to The Beloved comes easily and peace arrives as soon as you do. There is plenty of walking and swimming (for those brave enough) on the doorstep.

The house is a cosy setting with two large woodburners and comfy places to curl up under a blanket. It provides all that’s needed including all but one room with en-suite facilities.

Discover more about Bernard’s Acre here.
