When courage is needed.

“Courage courage my daughters, remember God gives no more troubles than she is able to bear, and God is with those in tribulation”. St. Therese of Avila

When we think of courage we often imagine a Braveheart scene of someone going into battle sword in hand.

We imagine a heroic act of bravery or standing up to a bully.

Courage comes in many forms.

It does not mean the absence of fear but often involves acting inspite of fear being present.

Do I need the courage to admit that I’m feeling afraid?

Do I need the courage to express my needs rather than ignore them?

Do I need the courage to care for myself as well as others and accept that it’s ok to put me first sometimes?

Do I need the courage to admit I messed up and someone else was right?

Do I need the courage to ask for forgiveness?

Do I need the courage to be vulnerable and honest about how I feel?

Do I need the courage to face this uncertainty?

Do I need the courage to choose a new path?

Do I need the courage to say yes?

Do I need the courage to say no?

Do I need the courage to let go of someone or something that I’ve been clinging onto?

Do I need the courage to simply “be” in the silent still place of doing nothing?

Do I need the courage to let myself rest?

Do I need the courage to dare to hope again?

Do I need the courage to trust the Journey ahead whatever it may bring?

Do I need the courage to ask for help?

“Courage courage my daughter’s, remember God gives no more troubles and she is able to bear and God is with those who are in tribulation.”
